Privacy notice
Two things sit under this notice. wayleave.dev is a marketing site that collects nothing. meter.wayleave.dev is a product with accounts and a paid subscription, and it necessarily collects more. Both are described below, in plain terms.
This website collects nothing
There is no form on wayleave.dev, no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no cookie is set. The light/dark toggle keeps your choice in memory for the current page view only — it is not stored and does not persist. Nothing you do here is recorded beyond ordinary server logs.
An earlier version of this site ran a waitlist form. It has been removed. Addresses collected by it are being deleted; if you joined and want yours removed immediately, email and it will be done that day.
The meter collects what an account requires
If you sign in to meter.wayleave.dev:
- Your email address, and a GitHub identifier if you sign in that way. This is your account.
- A hash of each API key you issue. The key itself is shown once and never stored, so a breach of our database cannot yield a working key.
- Crossing events your middleware sends us. This is the ledger: a timestamp, the lane, the route path, a price if you set one, and the cryptographic identity or IP-derived identifier of the agent that crossed. You choose what your app sends. If your route paths or agent identifiers contain personal data, that data reaches us — so don't put it there.
- Billing state. Your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan status, trial end, and renewal date.
- Your settlement address, if you set one. A crypto address you control. Wayleave never holds funds sent to it.
Card numbers are never collected, seen, or stored by Wayleave. Payment details go directly to Stripe.
Who processes it
- Netlify hosts wayleave.dev. Their privacy policy.
- Railway hosts the meter service.
- Supabase stores meter accounts and the ledger, and provides sign-in.
- Stripe processes subscription payments and holds the card details. Their privacy policy.
- GitHub, only if you choose to sign in with it, and only to confirm who you are.
Your data is not sold, rented, shared, or passed to any advertiser, data broker, or third-party mailing tool. There is no analytics or tracking product in either service.
Server logs and fonts
Like any website, requests reach a server that records ordinary technical details such as IP address, browser user-agent, and the page requested. That is Netlify's standard hosting log, not something built for this site.
No third-party requests are made. The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from Fontshare or Google Fonts, so your browser never contacts a font CDN and no outside service sees your IP address because of a visit here. Every file this page loads comes from wayleave.dev.
How it is used
Your email is used to run your account: sign-in, receipts, and messages about your subscription or an outage. No newsletter, no drip sequence, no "we thought you'd also like." Ledger data is used to show you your own ledger and to bill your plan. It is never aggregated into a product sold to anyone else, and no other customer can see it.
How long it is kept
Account and ledger data are kept while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of you closing it. Billing records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it — that exception survives a deletion request, and it is the only one.
Getting your data deleted
Email admin@sendable.me and ask. No form, no verification hoops, no "are you sure" sequence. You are entitled to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it exported, and to have it erased. Your ledger is already exportable as CSV from the dashboard without asking anyone.
Deleting your account deletes your ledger. That is the point of it, but it is not reversible, so export first if the records matter to you.
Children
This is developer tooling. It is not directed at children and no part of it is designed to appeal to them.
Changes
If this notice changes materially while your address is on the list, the change will be reflected here with a new date at the top. Since the site collects so little, any meaningful change would mean the site started doing something new — and that is exactly the kind of thing worth telling you about.
